Her Own Table exists to be a place you can trust with your time, your attention, and your information. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and when we share it with others.
This policy applies to herowntable.com (the “Site”), our newsletters and emails, our quizzes and forms, and other services that link to this policy.
Her Own Table is based in Indiana, USA. If you visit from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

Please do not submit medical records, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or detailed medical information through our quizzes or general contact forms. Her Own Table is not a healthcare provider or health plan, and information submitted to us is generally not protected by HIPAA.

We may store quiz responses and source-page information even when you choose to view a result without requesting a call. In that situation, the record may not include your name, phone number, or email address.
We do not directly collect payment-card information. Purchases of The Quiet Mind Guide or other products may be processed by Gumroad or another payment provider. That provider’s privacy policy governs the payment and billing information it collects. We may receive information such as purchase confirmation, product details, and the email address associated with the purchase.

Her Own Table is not an insurance company, insurance agency, or licensed insurance producer. We do not make underwriting decisions, determine eligibility, issue policies, or guarantee coverage or rates.
If you ask to be contacted about insurance, we may disclose or transfer your contact information, quiz responses, general health-related selections, insurance-related information, source-page information, and campaign information to one or more licensed insurance agents, insurance agencies, lead buyers, lead networks, aggregators, or other insurance marketing partners.
Her Own Table may receive payment or another financial benefit for transferring an insurance lead or making a referral. In some states, this transfer may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or use of personal information for targeted advertising under applicable privacy law.
The recipient may use your information to contact you and evaluate which insurance products may be available. A recipient’s own privacy policy and practices will govern its use of your information after the transfer. Recipients may request additional health or insurance information directly from you. You should review their privacy notices before providing additional information.
Submitting a quiz does not guarantee that you will qualify for insurance, does not provide a rate or offer of coverage, and does not require you to purchase anything.
When you provide contact information and agree to be contacted, Her Own Table and the insurance partners described in the consent presented with the form may contact you about the insurance products or services you requested. Contact may occur by telephone, text message, or email, subject to the wording of the consent you accepted and applicable law.
Your consent to marketing contact is not a condition of purchasing any product or service. Message and data rates may apply. You may ask a caller not to call again, reply STOP to an applicable marketing text, use an unsubscribe link in a marketing email, or contact us at carol@herowntable.com.
Withdrawing consent will apply to future communications. It will not make earlier communications or processing unlawful. Because insurance partners control their own communication systems, you may also need to submit an opt-out request directly to a partner that contacted you.

Some quiz responses may reveal or allow an inference about health, medical history, or insurance needs. We collect this information only when you choose to provide it. We use it to provide a preliminary quiz result, evaluate whether a conversation may be relevant, improve our services, and, when you request contact and provide the required consent, transfer the lead to insurance partners.
We do not use quiz responses to provide medical advice or make a clinical diagnosis. We do not ask for medical records through the quiz. Where applicable law requires additional permission before sensitive or consumer health information may be sold, shared, or used for a particular purpose, we will request that permission.
Google Analytics and other technologies may use cookies or similar identifiers to understand how visitors find and use the Site. This may include pages viewed, links clicked, time spent, general location, device information, and advertising attribution data.
You can limit cookies through your browser settings or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking cookies may affect some Site features. Private browsing does not necessarily prevent all tracking.
We use MailerLite to manage our newsletter list and send emails. When you subscribe, your email address is stored in MailerLite’s system. You can review MailerLite’s privacy policy. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.
Some Site content contains affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you make a purchase through one of those links, at no additional cost to you. Some content may also be sponsored. We disclose affiliate or sponsored relationships where appropriate.
We may keep quiz responses, lead information, contact information, and related tracking information until you request deletion, subject to legal, regulatory, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, and recordkeeping requirements. We keep newsletter information while you are subscribed and may retain suppression records after you unsubscribe so we can honor your choice. We keep other information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.
Insurance partners that receive your information determine their own retention periods. A deletion request sent to Her Own Table does not automatically delete information held independently by those partners, although we will assist or forward requests where required by law.

Please describe your request and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant record. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
You may use an authorized agent where applicable law permits. We may ask for proof of the agent’s authority and may ask you to verify your identity directly.
To appeal a decision about a privacy request, reply to our decision or email carol@herowntable.com with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect the information we collect. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Her Own Table is directed to adults. The Site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
The Site may link to third-party websites and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one. We encourage you to review a third party’s privacy notice before providing information.
We may update this policy as our practices or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy and update the effective date. When required, we will provide additional notice or request renewed consent.
